Animals for Adoption

Several times a year, CVH will receive animals either from an owner who can no longer handle the responsibility of pet ownership or through anonymous drop-off for adoption. These pets are thoroughly examined, treated for infirmities and presented to our clientele for adoption to an appropriate home. Whenever possible, the original owners are required to pay for any treatments and boarding fees until the animal is adopted.

Abandoned Animal Fund

Every year, dozens of animals are abandoned to our care in various degrees of health. We gladly admit and treat all of these orphans to the best of our ability. We then put them up for adoption. However, due to the cost of housing them, these animals can only stay with us for a short time if they are not adopted. Our current policy is to house the animals for one to two weeks before asking the humane society for their help.

It is not our desire to turn any of these animals away, but to change our policies, we need your help. Only through the generosity of our clients and associates will we be able to house these animals for an extended period of time.

If you wish to get more information or make a donation to the abandoned animal fund, please contact us at (865) 525-1167, she will be able to answer all your questions.
